Austin has grown up recording on projects for his father, Eric Uglum (New Wine Recording Studio) who is a full time studio engineer in Southern California. He is extremely comfortable in the studio, always conducting himself in the utmost professional manner, while exhibiting creativity and knowledge in many genres of music. Austin has the capability to record bass tracks from his home studio and send them back as multitrack session files, or as a stereo track. Austin is comfortable playing upright electric and acoustic bass (Pizzicato and Arco), as well as fretted and fretless bass guitar. He is currently running Pro Tools 8 with a Mbox 2 pro. When recording acoustic upright bass, Austin stereo mics his bass and runs a direct line.
If you are interested in having Austin play on your next project don't hesitate to send him a email at Austin@AustinWardMusic.com and ask for a quote.
Austin usually asks to be compensated on a per track basis, but is always willing to be flexible.
As soon as a price is agreed upon, and the tracks sent, Austin will get to work on the session and will finish the tracks on schedule.
